Give vaccines first-come first-serve, with one line for people with mostly gray hair and one for everyone else. Clear the shelves every day, even if it means driving around in vaccination trucks. Not a great system, but it can’t be worse than the one we have
Not long ago I asked why we wouldn’t ration vaccine first to those who had not acquired immunity to #COVID19 already, the hard way.

Lesson learned: a simple plan is not enough. The plan must be simple enough to be operable by people with rocks for brains https://twitter.com/gcaw/status/1340298380594061313
That means a plan whose final stages are simple enough to be contained in a tweet, and can be executed by people with a 2nd-grade education. Everyone should know where to go and what will happen when they get there. The virtues of simplicity are not to be underestimated
This is not because people are stupid. It’s because systems of people are stupid, and people act as if they are stupid when information does not reach them clearly and unambiguously.
I used to go to @SonnyBryans bbq in Dallas. They’d run out of meat early in the afternoon, every day. Woe if you arrived at 1:30. That’s a good model: everyone should know how to get in line, and if some people are leaving without the vaccine, the system is working
