Much uncertainty around new variant. Large one is why it is more transmissible & how to enhance our public health interventions and advice based on that info. Is it lingering longer in air? or surviving longer in fomites? or higher viral load in upper respiratory track?

And to those saying 'just shut schools', that's a terrible way to look at it. The real question is how do we get schools open safely ASAP using the tools we have. I'll write a piece on this in the next few days. But for now, taking the rest of the evening off. Enjoy Hogmanay!
