The attack on merit in education, seeking to kill objective tests like the SAT and #SHSAT in favor of subjective holistic factors, are intended to hurt immigrants.

This is not to say there is no anti-Asian racism or that Asian women aren't subjected to stereotypes... there are, now more than ever.

This is why we need equality of educational opportunity based on merit and not so-called "equity" based on skin color and gender.

With Asians in the minority (5.6% of US), politicians who need to win elections and corporations that chase profits will continue to play the game of numbers.

No surprise they push policies for popularity and virtue-signaling than those that truly promote equality.
