I am very lucky to have spent the last 9 months going through this pandemic with a fantastic bunch of colleagues @LNWH_NHS in Critical care.
Leadership from Steve, Tariq @Ganesh_ICM @noolslucas Vast amounts of behind the scenes labour from @RopeyP Laurie @tubesandlines Latha & Solange
Immense efforts from the nurses and nursing hierarchy in theatres, recovery and ICU across our sites @DebVDV @TriciaMukherje1 and many others
And huge efforts from the trainee (=in training, but never forget they are highly skilled and able professionals too) doctors we have had the privilege of working with, led by @kung_fu_legend @LliamEdger Cross trust responses from Surgery, Medicine, OMFS, physios and many others
And through all this we have tried to keep elective services going too, redesigning whole pathways and relocating services in weeks/days to care for the population we serve in @harrow_council @Brent_Council and @EalingCouncil but supported by help from within our communities
But above all the united response of an entire department to go above and beyond, again and again and again
And now it seems we are back in March/April again. We will do what we need to do to keep our patients as safe as we can, but its HARD, emotionally and physically. Please do your bit by following the advice to use masks, stay in and not spread this horror any further. Thank you.
