1)Chief Gentry of @LMPD is handling the #BreonnaTaylor case the way she is, not because Breonna Taylor was a Black woman, but because Chief is.

2)Historically, we have been charged with bathing, raising and even loving the babies of white men and women after those same people sold our children away from us, and/or abused them in front of us.

3)Black women, above all, have offered forgiveness and olive branches, in the constant hope that our humanity would be recognized and humane treatment someday reciprocated. Quite frankly, not just for our sake but for the sake of those we birth - those we love.

4)So, if #BreonnaTaylor were white, Chief's response would be the same, bc justice is the provocation.
However, Louisville and America must come to terms with the fact that the guys in power, some community members and @kyoag would have responded differently to a white victim.

5)Race matters in all of our systems. Sadly, some Black people, like the AG, try so hard to prove themselves respectable, they do not deserve the respect of any justice loving soul.

6)Recusals, lies, partial investigations, & failures to terminate, deserve the long-term attention of investigative journalists. These excuses have been the tools of cowards, indifferent to our suffering, when inconvenient to their own political aspirations or sense of safety.

7)Shall we review the relationships in cases in which they did not find it wise to recuse?
Truth requires courage and discomfort.
I'm not a fan of policing in America but recognize a right step and respect the courage it takes to do right when wrong is the expectation.

8)Democrat or Republican, many elected officials in Louisville, Kentucky, and across this nation, should be in their final terms of any office. Status quo fails us and change leadership requires more than they possess.
