25 things I’ve learned in 2020 (in no particular order):

1. Sitting for long periods of time truly is bad for you.
2. To always keep a little extra toilet paper on hand.

4. The team I work with a Mississippi Today is resilient and amazing.
5. How to look for and find the silver lining.
6. How grateful I am for the extra time I’ve had with my boys.

8. That we need each other and to be around each other.
9. That politics and science don’t mix well.
10. That change is just that. How you respond to it is what matters.
11. Everyone is going through something.
12. Who my true friends are. 3/
13. That working at home means I’m way to close to my refrigerator.
14. That I like wearing shorts to work.
15. How to master Zoom.
16. How to do a radio show while on the phone in my closet.
17. That a cartoon alligator, two cartoon dogs and a cartoon cat are good therapy. 4/
18. Wearing a mask inspires you to brush your teeth more often.
19. That I kind of like having groceries delivered.
20. That pandemics are made for introverts.
21. When a friend, neighbor or coworker is in pain, we should listen.
22. That people can make a difference. 5/
23. About the Tiger King. I’m trying to unlearn that one.
24. That health care workers are true heroes who go overlooked way too often.
