Aaron Rodgers is having a vintage season, but Patrick Mahomes is still my MVP.
Mahomes is being asked to do more for his offense, and his performance is unparalleled in difficult situations when elite QB play matters most https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-mvp-2020-kansas-city-chiefs-qb-patrick-mahomes

There's too much focus on the weapons differential between Mahomes and Rodgers when it's difficult to quantify and Rodgers has arguably the best WR in the NFL. OL play is easier to assess, and the Packers' line lowers pressure rate by 5-10% versus the Chiefs'
PFF passing grades for clean-pocket average in the 80s and under pressure in the 50s. EPA per dropback is +0.25 from a clean pocket and -0.35 under pressure. 5-10% difference in pressure is huge, especially when Rodgers maximized clean pocket passing more than anyone this year
Of course s/o to @PFF_Moo for providing the pressure survival curves that he developed in this analysis last year https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pff-quantitative-insights-investigating-pass-protection-with-survival-analysis
This analysis did make me appreciate Allen more. Like Mahomes, he was the dominant offensive focus for the Bills and was outstanding in high leverage situations like under pressure and 3rd downs. I think he wasn't quite at Mahomes's level though https://twitter.com/TonyParlay/status/1344660962335313926
