My hobby 2020: "joined" in March as I was just a father trying to find the Spellbound cards to spell Mahomes for my son. Able to track them down, he was able to complete the set and has a framed "MAHOMES" Spellbound set. Then, we found the hobby.
A few tweets and I came across @MRJIMMYBRO's profile. I reached out and connected with him and he put me in touch with so many amazing people like @riemersma_63 @KellysKards1768 @attic_frank @NoDakRips @QuadosCorner
Through those connections, Parker was able to secure his grail card of a 2017 Prizm - Patrick Mahomes rookie card. Landed a sweet deal with @SharpEdgesCards and from there, things took off. Cards poured in, and Parker decided to pay it forward.
He set out to get other kids cards in the hobby. Messages to @heyitsTMurph @biggs_baseball @MrKdub and numerous others, led to Parker being able to get RAKs out to kids in all 50 states, Mexico, and Canada. Thanks to @BriSmithKAKE for airing his story!
Parker started connecting with people from all over the country. Amazing breakers like @midwestboxbreak @kedkaboom @RippinGypsy @HobbySmash @BuckCityBreaks, amazing people like @CollectionMut @Hobby_Connect @Sportscardnati1 @BrodyTk, Parker was able to grow his connections.
With a growing community, Parker's collection grew. He quickly became known as the "Mahomes kid" but he had a rapidly growing Chiefs and Royals collection with PCs of just about anyone Chiefs but Mahomes and Butker being his two biggest. Whit Merrifield is his Royals guy!
Through summer, amazing DMs with @DynastyDrakeFF, @goldlinecards and others, I found my own group to fit in with. The #CardboardConnection group is a great community including my guys @NotNolanRyan1 @therealSPZA @JrNoble1 @kfee14 @STMSportsCards @d_moose8 @thepointsports1....
@ben_engler who has helped me with Blowout forum help, @CardsLiddy @BbaptistThe @EloyTheGoat @ENSportsCards1 who look out for Parker, share DMs with me, and care more about me and my family than the hobby. People I've never met but have so much respect for.

To anyone who has sent Parker cards, from the bottom of my heart, "Thank you!". The joy the hobby has brought him, the crazy rainbow chases, the father/son bonding time, and the fun it's brought me is priceless. I can't ever pay you all back but know I am 100% grateful.

The hobby community is an amazing place, filled with amazing people. There is so much good that outshines anything negative. Collect who you want to collect, collect how you want to collect. Do what makes you happy. There are SO many people doing so many great things.
Find your group of people, interact with those people, form relationships and friendships. I wish all the hobby family a happy 2021. May you all find the hits you are looking for, complete those rainbows, and keep your PCs growing!
