Things that made me smile in 2020:
@AusWomenCricket World Cup Win
@brisbanelions whole season but particularly this night
@KimmerLions @LionsDi @julsie75 @fostar50 @dingoderek @LionsJo and all the regular s69 crew that made the season so special
The fact we won’t have that orange fuck as president of the US next year
On a personal note - finishing two CA units, got merit results for the last unit in 2019 and am just waiting for the next results to come out.
Working for a full year at a job that makes me feel appreciated and pleasant to be at. And we always go overboard
And of course, this boy.
And these kiddlewinks:
Being an accountant. You get to see the highs and lows of it all, but get to be there and support some wonderful clients. The accounting industry has been a glorified Centrelink and has come through, always with clients front of mind.
My cousin came out as gay this year. His old man is a rough and tough outback Aussie. I worried he wouldn’t be accepting. But listening on the phone and hearing his dad say “As long as he’s happy, I don’t give a fuck” made me smile.
The Twitter community that I’ve found. Most people are derogatory to Twitter but a lot of the people I’ve interacted and met through here are fucking legends.
Reigniting my love of reading. Originally set my target at 25, and hit 122 (first of 2)
And remaining books read for the year
