I appreciate all 1500 of you.

I wanted to share my findings along the way.

Here’s what I’ve learned on my journey to 1500.

⬇️ Thread ⬇️
You’re bio is not about you.

It’s about potential followers.

Tell people what you’ll do for them when they follow.

It’s more important than people will tell you.
Have a good profile pic.

The profile pic is your first impression.
Going from 400 - 500 followers was the hardest to gain.

I’m not sure why but getting this 100 followers was the most difficult.
Small accounts gain the most followers by sticking to one topic in their posts.
The most important thing you can do is engage on other people’s posts.

This is the only way your account will be seen.
Your posts will not get likes until you hit at least 500 followers.

Even at 500 it will only be a couple.
Write tweets with the simplest terms
(words).

Less complicated tweets perform better.
Tweets should include the fewest words possible.

You have 280 characters.

Don’t use them all.
Surround yourself with good people.

1. Network.
2. Find people you like to interact with.
3. Keep in contact with them.
4. Use the DMs.
Tweets with links don’t perform as well.

Wanna promote something?

Drop the link into a comment under the main post.
Retweet your own posts.

Retweeting your own posts gives them a small boost in the algorithm.
Reuse your old content.

The more you post the better you will get.

Take your old posts and reword them.

Rewrite them with fewer words.
Twitter is a game of mental toughness.

You need to show up everyday.

You need to post to your timeline everyday.

Also you need to engage on others posts everyday.
All said and done the journey has been fun.

I’ve gotten to know a ton of great people.

Also I’ve learned things, otherwise, I never would’ve known to learn.
Now I wanna pay it forward.

If you’re a smaller account, drop your questions in the comments.

I will do my best to answer any question you have.
If you’ve made it this far, please give the first post a like and RT.

Maybe your RT will help someone struggling in their journey.
