USL League 1 2021 resolutions. This is only for the independent teams. For Central Valley Fuego and Fort Wayne, just try and create excitement around your respective teams. Rochester Rhinos, can you just officially say you’re sadly not coming back?
First Chatt Sad Wolves: No PR mess in 2021. 2018 you tried to kill one of the top clubs in America. 2019 your Supporters said they would greet Madison players and fans by hanging flamingo on nooses and didn’t disavow it. 2020 you’re stadium had no lights or water
My beloved Fwd Madison: Improve on the pitch and win back the Henny Derby. We’ve said for two years the on field product doesn’t match the off-field success. I think Carl Craig can provide the results and winning the Henny Derby is the first step.
Greenville Triumph: Defend your title and leave no doubts.
You were the best team in 2020 and despite what one fan base might say they would have won the final if they didn’t cause the cancellation themselves, just win the league all over again as a reminder of who the champ is
Union Omaha: Build off year 1. Your inaugural season was a success, good fan turnout despite a pandemic, team finished 2nd in the standings. Now to do that again and maybe win the title would be a straight forward goal
Richmond Kickers: Build on the stability. Last year you brought a new coach who had you contend for a title before a late season collapse. You’re bringing back the key pieces which is good so now it’s making sure it’s maintaining the early/mid season levels
South Georgia Tormenta: Stay healthy. There always seems to be a high amount of injuries and last year COVID cases which has been a reason to your 2019 collapse and sub par 2020. Maybe 2021 can be different
FC Tucson: Establish an identity. You were always that one team way out west affiliated with Phoenix Rising. Now you’re branching out on your own and hopefully you find your own voice
