So many people have asked me, “Hey why do you keep running for followers, it doesn’t even matter”
Most of them are polite and genuinely curious.
So here is my answer.

1. Content creation is a profession and these numbers are a result
Some people don’t get the idea of content creation as a profession. To a content creator numbers means results.
It is a proof of concept that what they are doing is working.

These analytics shows us what we are doing correctly and what we are doing incorrectly.
We have to constantly learn along the way through these analytics.

2. Self motivation
I started this content creation thing as an accident.
One day I simply shared an everyday experience with people on twitter.
I received a lot of feedback. Some people liked it and some were really thankful that I shared it.

So I kept sharing it now and then.
But I wasn’t that consistent.
I liked helping people but their was no other motivation for me to spend a couple of hours a day to do all this.
My account was growing linearly and at a very decent pace. I was very laid back and chill.
But I wasn’t that consistent.

One day I noticed that the people “running for followers” were a lot more consistent and they were growing exponentially.
This made me realise that this follower game is a great motivator.
It is like gamifying your job. It is addicting and hence great for progress.

It is simple math.
The more people that follow me. The more will be my content reach. The more people I will be able to help.

Everyone will get depressed if we don’t try to find happiness in simple things.
