Here's a thread of some of my favourite Boro photos from 2020 - Starting with Spurs away - even with the result, it was just an amazing experience in their new ground.
Boro V Notts Forest - The last game that still had fans in the stadium before lockdown 1.
Stoke away and the start of the Warnock era. Personally, it was the first time in 117 days I'd covered a match. Due to COVID restrictions, I was covering away matches only for a while
Another from the Stoke match and Patrick Roberts reacts to Ashley Fletcher's goal.
Reading away and the win made Boro pretty much safe. There were lots of happy faces around after this win.
Hillsborough and the last match of the season and Boro signed off with a win that cemented MFC's Championship status.
Watford away and the curtain opener of the 20/21 season. Just a picture of Britt flying through the air
Britt leads the team out in front of a small crowd. This felt like a glimmer of hope on the road to getting the fans back in. I genuinely hope there will be crowds back before the end of the season.
Chuba Akpom scores on his Boro debut at QPR. I think all football photographers want to get the goal and the celebration in the bag.
Marc Bola celebrates Marvin Johnson's goal against Notts Forest. This won't be the last picture of a Marc Bola celebration in this thread.
Marvin Johnson scores Boro's third goal against Derby County. What a goal that was.
Duncan Watmore on the day he put two goals past Swansea
Tav and Duncan Watmore on the day they broke the record of 3 Boro goals within 20 minutes.
...and finally two celebration pics from Boro's 1-4 victory over Birmingham City. Football photographers like to twist about lighting in grounds and BCFC's is patchy at best, but it made the Marc Bola shot.
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you've liked some of the photos I've taken this year, let's hope fans are back in grounds soon. #UTB
