2020 not my post. I'm sure, like everyone, I spend New Year celebrating the previous year and getting excited for the one to come. An unknown 365 days that could hold any possibility. Hopefully a good one.
Who knew what was waiting for us in 2020? (2/?)

If anything, this year has taught us how connected we are as a planet. We are not alone; even if it felt like we were this year in lockdown. Planes, trains and automobiles are bridges between islands and that's a beautiful thing. Something to be celebrated and remembered. (3/?)

I care a lot. I am very sensitive and sometimes that makes Twitter a bad place to be. I cry at a lot of things, both happy and sad. I have been distraught for most of the year. The pure selfishness on display. (5/?)

I've experienced grief this year. Horrible, horrible grief. Funerals postponed, weddings, birthdays and holidays too. There's been pain and death. But there has also been happiness; births, engagements, love. We're complicated people, humans, messy but beautiful at our core. (8/?

We have watched the marches and protests for BLM.
All I'll say is, if you don't think racism exists, you are wrong. This is coming from a white, middle class girl who is super privileged and knows it. (9/?)

Further to my point above, I have also been in tears about this. I just couldn't/can't fathom why a cop would just kneel on someone like that when you could see he was struggling to breathe. I just cant compute. (10/?)

I also feel privileged I live in the UK even though we are fucked up in other ways. Very incest, private boys school government who pay themselves ridiculous salaries... and Brexit. We are so fucked. (11/?)
