There are too many things to explain in this thread since MANY things happened throughout the year. I will try to explain every interesting stuff happened in Brawl Stars in the year 2020. Hope you will enjoy the whole thread. (2/32)
It was a year with such amazing updates, with each of them involving amazing new brawlers, beautiful environments, amazing skins, and a ton of life changes in the game. Even some of the features disappeared, then came back again. (Hot Zone & Present Plunder) (3/32)
Speaking of updates, every Brawl Talk had its own excitement, and of course, our dev team loves to do that (when brawl talk?). Especially, one of them was beyond exciting but also very creepy, but I will get into that later in this thread. (4/32)
Apart from the updates itself, all the animation made by the Brawl Stars artists and animation team were mind-blowing, which we also seen their making procedure so we could see how these are made. (5/32)
Some of the updates even changed the game all the way around.
One of them was Brawl Pass, which changed players’ progress completely.
The other one was Map Maker, which eventually became a feature to have fun, especially with jumppads and teleporters. (6/32)

Brawl Pass did get a lot of hate at first place, since most of the players are F2P, until it was said that we will be able to get more rewards than the old system in Free part. We’ve had 4 seasons so far, which all of them rewarding a new brawler rarity : Chromatic. (7/32)
Map Maker had rather an interesting welcome to the game, all because of “Arene en folie” map issue (thank you @PoneySwagg11). After then, it became normal, but we saw such funny maps, with most of them consists of jumppads and teleporters, which also @OrangeJuice loves. (8/32)
And let us not forget a new ability for brawlers called gadgets, started to appear starting from FootBrawl update. Though some of the brawlers already has two, some of them still has one. Who knows, maybe all the brawlers will have two gadgets in the future. (9/32)
But of course, the dev team was not the only one to make the year even better, THOUSANDS of people in this game’s community has done a lot throughout the year, which every single one of them deserves appreciation. Content creators, artists etc. (10/32)
All content creators have done their best to create their amazing contents, from interesting challenges to pushing certain brawlers, from making cosplays to meme reviews, and all of them was indeed very funny to watch. (11/32)
Not only that, the dev team made them face off with interesting challenges in a board game called Race to Gem Mountain. Some of them faced off with pain, but we’ve laughed a lot while watching them. In the end, @Ark_BrawlStars ended up winning, so congratulations to him. (12/32)
Rather than content creators, artists were also in the spotlight. They have introduced us such amazing and high-quality artworks, collaborations, and animations, which left the whole community’s mouth open, because it is their job to do so. (13/32)
It was totally an art collaboration year since there were different collaborations with different themes such as Chinese New Year, Sakura Festival, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Summer and even more, and they were absolutely amazing. (14/32)
I must include myself here since I have supported every artist as much as I can with making charts and compilation videos this year, and one of them is even liked by Brawl Stars page itself, which was crazy, so I am very happy I have made these. (15/32)
Among all the collaborations, I even managed to organize one of them with @Moonfall_Art and @nana7bs, which they also helped me a lot throughout it, so I am very pleased. Afterwards, @EvincerF and @blazing_night gave me another chance to join another collaboration. (16/32)
Animationwise, we had such high-quality animations from amazing animators such as @FrancyArtist, Gumymations, BratuArt, Guru, @spacebeaa and @Hornstromp. They were absolutely incredible in their own ways. (17/32)
Of course, e-sports in Brawl Stars never stopped in 2020. It at least continued but with many precautions due to pandemic. There were many exciting moments in Monthly Finals, but disappointments as well, especially Tribe Gaming (EMEA) not qualifying for the World Finals. (18/32)
Although it was time for the World Finals, since it was done remotely, some teams such as SK Gaming and Jupiter suffered massive delays in the matches. In the end, PSG e-Sports dominated the tournament and became champions. (19/32)
Last but not least, something that made everyone investigate happened that made everyone hyped. It started with a theory by a single person but eventually became a lore afterwards, which was indeed crazy. (20/32)
We actually noticed a bit late, since it was started in mid-April, when Pam remodel was announced. We thought everything was normal, but it wasn’t. We eventually noticed that an interesting livestream was going on in YouTube by an unknown person. (21/32)
Thank you @Developart1 for noticing it, there was a livestream called WKBRL, which it gave us such hints about future updates, animations, and interesting sounds. That was not all, the things became crazier and crazier afterwards. (22/32)
An 8-Bit minigame, and content creators getting surprise boxes, which was a shocker, made us solve the truth even closer. There was an interesting puzzle which we needed to solve, but unfortunately became undone. (23/32) https://twitter.com/HuyDandylion/status/1313120278344462336
But this was not anything. Brawl Talk in September was absolutely the craziest thing the community have ever seen. It started with small glitches, but it came out of hand that we had to watch a video which was about Starr Park. (24/32)
The video itself was indeed crazy, there were a ton of easter eggs which they were something to do with the game itself, and everyone freaked out. Also, something crazy happened in WKBRL livestream as well (THIS IS NORMAL). (25/32)
We continued to find the actual truth with many people such as @Developart1, @HuyDandylion, @Coxxer221 and many more. @KairosTime also had a big contribution behind all this with all his Brawl Theory videos that tells us what is going on. Thank you to all of them. (26/32)
And that is pretty much it. 2020 has passed like this in Brawl Stars. If I would describe in a nutshell, it was crazy and amazing. If you have come this far in this thread, thank you very much for reading. (27/32)
Thank you very much to all content creators for giving us amazing content, artists, and animators for giving us outstanding fanarts, collaborations and animations. But the biggest appreciation must go to our dev team because they have done a lot. (28/32)
They have given us such amazing updates, and one single lore to make us investigate. They also listened the whole community to make the game even better. They even gave us a free brawler, which nobody in any game could do it. (29/32)
It is very difficult to list what dev team have done for us throughout the year, because the list would go on and on. We should definitely be proud of them. Thank you so much @Frank_Supercell @RLighton @Dani_Supercell. (30/32)
The game and its community is growing every day, and without any doubt, it definitely has a bright future ahead. This game involves the best people all together and we are very happy about it. 2020 was amazing, we hope 2021 will be an even better year for the game. (31/32)
Happy new year to all the (huge) Brawl Stars family, and wishing everyone a great 2021, which will hopefully be the year that everything will become normal again. (32/32)
