It's the #31stDecember.
Not any December 31 -- 2020. On this last day of a challenging year (clearly an understatement), what is left to say about 2020?

For many of us, for the most part it was filled with repeated and never-ending disappointment, frustration, sadness, fear, and even loss. Not a year to remember and it couldn’t end soon enough, you’ll say. Fair enough, I’ll give you that.
But a few mornings ago, after my daily ride on the stationary bike (a 2020 novelty!), I chose to try a different approach, which I would like to share with you. If you could rewrite 2020, what parts would you keep?
Would it be when you realized how resilient you can be in the face of adversity? Or when bumps in the road made you decide to recalibrate your priorities and focus on what matters the most to you?
Perhaps you would keep the part when you and your family, friends, community or co-workers stepped up to the plate to reinvent yourselves, develop new approaches and come up with creative and innovative ideas to keep things going, despite being forced to overcome so many hurdles?
The last bit, I was able to accomplish with my work crew, my office gang, my fearless team whose faces you can see below. I want to thank them for showing up, everyday, to get things done, and marvelously well done. And thanks to all of you who were part of our journey.
So, voilà – this is how I feel on this #NYE2020. I will undoubtedly continue to have ups-and-downs – but as we welcome 2021 with a (subdued) bang, let’s all focus on the positive in our respective lives.
2020 was not a complete waste – I’m coming out of it as a changed, different (and hopefully better!) person. Looking ahead to 2021, I know we are obviously not out of the woods (yet) but we are definitely getting there. We just need to be a little more patient, folks!

Cheers y’all
(literally!) – and here’s to a much better 2021 (hint: the bar is not high... but as someone rightfully pointed out, "it will be where we place it")!!
