Car hacking is about poppin' shells and pretending you are Charlie right?
no, actually it's more about doing stuff that the engineers never intended. Learning about interfaces that aren't well documented and restoring features often hidden.

This is where tools like @MacchinaCC and the brains of @rndashm are really coming together. He's got a diesel W203 with the 722.6 transmission and that only has 3 modes:
comfort
sport
manual
wouldn't it be cool if agility mode was enabled?

Well, this is what he did and it's friggin' impressive. This is more what I feel is car hacking and there's a whole new generation of petrolheads (well in his case, dirty diesel heads) exploring features often hidden by the manufacturer.
There is a huge interest in car hacking these days, which is great, and whilst there are many new tools on the scene, the following two should be on your list for 2021 if you too want to mess with your vehicles
