France should be the natural world leader in the development, roll out and acceptance of the Coronavirus vaccine and yet it is the country that has failed on all three levels. The opposition party, who more than any other are responsible for the structural failure...

...blame the current government, who at least have tried to reconfigure France's sclerotic bureaucracy. Meanwhile both parties are threatened with a populist take over by either the extreme Left (Mélenchon) or extreme Right (Le Pen), precisely because of this failure...

Yet both the political extremes share one thing in common - their supporters are more than 70% anti vaccination for Coronavirus. This is a structural failure for France and a moment of truth. If the moderate parties don't create a new republic, the extremists will.
