Last year, our estate began to record a constant house, shop and car burglary.

If you park your car outside, there's a 60% chance your car will be burgled and the brain box of your car, side mirrors, rear light and headlights will be removed.
All this were happening despite the fact that we have two security guys keeping watch of the streets every night.

This year during the COVID-19 pandemic when one million boys began to disturb the entire Lagos state.
Landlord Association rejigged the security committee & seek the services of serving & retired personnel of members of the Armed Forces & Police living in the Estate

During our first committee meeting, I said we should sack the security guys & employ a new sets of security guys
The landlord association disagree with me pointing out that it's difficult to get new security guys to watch the street.

I then pointed out that it's not difficult because there are boys few streets away we all see daily smoking Indian hemp and causing disturbance in the area.
I said, we should get their services instead of neglecting them.

After much deliberation, we employed the street boys.

They started work April this year, and for the past 8 months, we've not recorded a SINGLE case of burglary or theft in my estate.
Yesterday evening, the Landlord Association had a meeting and invited the security committee.

They thanked the security committee and me especially for bringing up the ideal of employing boys in our area to secure us instead of employing outsiders to work for us.
Most times, the solution to our problem is within.
