Thread on Final Season of Monogatari.

Before you move forward & scroll down this long thread, I just want to say that this will contain spoilers. You’ve been warned. I want to talk about my reactions, feelings, and enjoyment for some parts of the final season of Monogatari.
Also, I can’t promise everything that I say can summarize the beauty and narrative of Monogatari, but I do feel that I can share my sincere appreciation for the series, so without further ado, here we go.

Ougi Formula. First episode in and I finally get to see more of Ougi. I’ve been dying to know who this girl is and how incredibly suspicious of a person she may or may not be. My first impression of Ougi from her earlier cameos were how she always seemed to lead the narrative,
and how she always seemed to know what was going on. One intriguing thought I had with Ougi Formula was the fact that there wasn’t a concept or ideal Araragi had to challenge, like in the earlier arcs there was a heroine, but in the journey of Owari focuses around on Araragi.
I say this because Ougi claims to no nothing but ponder the questions around Araragi himself and it's so mystery-driven that I can't help but think, think, and think.
The mystery driven and incredibly convoluted dialogue between Araragi and Ougi through in Ougi Formula made me rewatch the episode twice. This helped me come to love her character’s complex nature.
Ougi Formula also sets the stage for the two subsequent arcs, which are Sodachi Lost and Sodachi Riddle. If I’m being honest I wasn’t really feeling Sodachi's character at first... like who even is Sodachi, why does she hate Koyomi so much,
and why is she important to the story. You can come to love or hate Sodachi, but I grew to love her if you took the time to understand her. Sodachi’s arc was unique than most arcs that involved supernatural elements, in this case, she had no connection to oddities/aberrations.
The fact that no supernatural elements were involved within her arc broke tradition and made it refreshing to watch. A few simple mysteries paired with the themes of missed opportunities and depressing home life really showed how much of a deranged emotionally devastated
young girl Sodachi was. If you truly paid attention, her story is one of the things you can truly appreciate.
I finally get to Shinobu Mail arc, and man was I in for a ride. Shinobu’s character finally felt completed, I feel that she finally felt challenged, and her growth here was tremendously satisfying.
It felt like it all connected. The scene/conversation between Shinobu and Kanburu had everything I wanted. Outstanding music, beautiful scenery, fascinating dialogue, and the impact it had on their character as a whole. What made the sequence between Shinobu and Kanburu perfect
in my eyes was how Kanburu greatly empathizes with the first oddity slayer and how she realized the fear in Shinobu. Kanburu saying “you can’t create a story unless you talk” and also pointing out to Shinobu why it’s difficult for people to refuse to see others because of “logic”
really spoke volumes to how important seeing someone in person makes all the difference to closure for someone who may love you as a person, and that’s the message I got from their conversation. There was just nothing more satisfying than that, just that.
Owarimonogatari (Ge) has to be one of the most incredible and pinnacle moments for every character’s story. I say this because it felt like everyone was given a proper satisfying ending within this final arc.
Oshino Ougi who secretly orchestrated it all from the beginning. From her charming and honest personality to her menacing and ominous presence. Ougi is the entity that exists to sabotage and destroy the hypocritical aspects of Araragi, and that's what made her pleasing to watch.
Hachikuji was given a role and place among the world of the living, Kiss-shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade is offered what she desires most and is adamant about staying with Koyomi until the day they perish.
Tsubasa and Hitagi's relationship with Koyomi has really flourished as well. You can just tell from the final seconds of the final episode where they refer to each other by their first name... it's so hard to describe but seeing their ending interactions here was all I needed.
While were still on Hanakawa... I can't help but cry tears of joy when she brought Oshino Meme, all the way from Antarctica. I just couldn't have been more happier with his appearance. Seeing and hearing him was all I needed.
Lastly the man himself Araragi Koyomi fought darkness himself, closes out on his adolescence, brings the best out of his selfless struggles, only in the end to treat himself with the same respect and care he would gladly do for anyone he would get involved with.
The finale couldn’t have been more pleasing to watch, especially Ougi’s character because when she showed emotions in the end, it’s very noticeable and defines how evolved her character really is. Monogatari is an emotional ride and I can’t thank you enough.
