I’ve said before here that power is about access to: information, money, decision making rights/decision makers, and the reach of ideas. Even a cursory assessment of power in this situation humanizes the terrorist and denies the gruesomeness of the the terrorist activity to the extent that every institution involved in this being small goes from government to media to law enforcement to lay people.
It shapes the information as benign before allowing the information to get to the public, it rewards or penalizes assessments that comply with narrative, story approval up and down the chain of command allows and doesn’t allow certain language.
It is a breathtaking. The sheer scale of acceptance of white terror as normal in our country.
