I am just so angry right now. I've tried so many times on this site to spread information and caution regarding mitigation of #COVID19. All of this has been about not only protecting the health of the public but also to help protect against our hospitals being run over like 1/10
In Italy Spain, and NY in March. We just haven't learned anything. We reached a peak of how many people were willing to take this pandemic seriously. While most of the planet has been harmed by #COVID19, there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that our handling of this is 2/10
Among the worst in the world. Now we are seeing the consequences. I'm a neurologist and I still saw 10 COVID patients today. 10. 4 of the last 5 stroke alerts I saw today ended up having COVID. I really don't think many in the public understand the strain this kind of 3/10
COVID volume puts on our system. Every single hospital in my area is on med/surg diversion. Its a complete disaster every day now. I've never seen anything like it in 10 yrs in the medical field. Not even close. I'm just so mad about it. Uncharacteristically. After all that 4/10
We went through from a pregnancy standpoint with COVID and all of the sacrifices we have made at work, it was for nothing. We are fighting in quicksand. No matter how hard we fight, we keep sinking further. I would end this with the message that you should please continue 5/10
To take precautions & mitigate, but what's the point? There's no hiding who the people are that aren't taking precautions. There's no hiding who they support politically. I haven't seen a single, not a single freaking Democrat support antimasking and anti-mitigation efforts 6/10
Thats just the truth. Its not a political statement. Its the absolute dead truth and it enrages me. Unreal incompetence and blind obedience/ignorance has spread COVID through our country so badly that the vaccine is too late. We are going to reach a resource overload now and 7/10
I hope people are able to look back at the people who were actually right about how this would go. But they won't. Because they have closed themselves off to biased media and conspiracy based views. Meanwhile, those of us in the medical field will continue 2 treat regardless 8/10
Of ignorance or intent. We will continue to step up regardless the cost. Character is defined by what a person does when there is no reward or incentive. My co-workers have so much more character than many others in our country & government. Please, just stop being selfish. 9/10
