Thinking abt nier (character) fear of insulting people with touching them in a wrong way. Hence them just... gingerly touching people w their fingertips of their awkwardly extended arms... 
(Btw it seems like people just assumed Red and black is replicant exclusive when apparently all nier side materials relevant to gestalt too. Make of that what you will but i will also say that even men big and strong can be victims of sexual harassment/abuse)
(I dont like to think abt red and black so i wont. Ill say this tho - most important thing abt using such dark themes is you not dodging hard questions, as a writer. Life can be beautiful even though shit like this exists too. You can still find true love etc)
Niers only touch people when they act out their protective side (taking care of yon, hugging emil, shielding kaine)

Tho shes very gentle w emil. Would risk tyrann awakening for emil. Cuz she knows hes soft...
