Today I was proud to join leaders at @JacksonHealth, @RebecaSosaMiami, and @CommishDiaz to announce that starting next week, Miami-Dade County residents 65+ will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at Jackson.
Miami-Dade County is coordinating closely with our public & private partners to ensure all seniors 65+ can access the vaccine as quickly as possible. And we are working to vaccinate the most vulnerable homebound seniors who live in public housing or who receive county services.
It's critical that we work to build trust and confidence in the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine, and I’m grateful to @EmilioEstefanJr, @NatMoore89 and the other residents vaccinated today for being an example to our community.
Today we also launched a central resource – http://miamidade.gov/vaccine  – to connect the community with the latest information about where the #COVID19 vaccine is available, and to provide regular updates and educational resources.
Hope really is on the horizon, but we aren’t out of the woods yet. We must continue to follow all the precautions that we know work to slow the spread, to protect our residents and keep our economy moving forward. Social distance. Wash your hands. Please, mask up. #WeCanWeWill
