Other day in Walmart, I was in line. Behind me was a whole family: mom, older daughter, cart full of kids.
And they wouldn't stay back from me.
I took a few steps forward, they got right up on my ass. I did it again, hoping they'd take the hint, but nope.

Finally I had to turn around and say, "Could you please keep back six feet?"
And the look of wounded indignance on their face was as frustrating as it was terrifying.
There's a new, more contagious COVID variant now. Much as I hate Amazon, delivery might be my only choice.

I'm just gonna say for the duration of the pandemic, until vaccination is widespread I'm not gonna judge anyone for using Amazon. Up until now our President has failed us and our fellow citizens are stupid, which makes them dangerous.
Do what you gotta.
Do what you gotta.
Also I know the next few months are gonna be worse, and the idiot governor of SC Henry McMaster will personally suck his own puckered asshole before ordering anything like a lockdown.
We're on our own here.
We're on our own here.
Right now, we only have an "acting" head of the department of health in SC.
That's because the last head of the agency resigned suddenly this past June to "spend more time with his family."
Consequentially we're behind where we should be on priority personnel being vaccinated.

Right now we don't know if there's some sort of distribution breakdown or if the people who need to be vaccinated simply don't *want* to be, which is an even more frightening thought.
Yeah, I'm sticking with delivery for now. https://www.postandcourier.com/health/covid19/by-2020s-end-sc-has-the-doses-of-vaccine-it-hoped-for-less-than-a/article_94ed8386-4aaa-11eb-afa0-574825964157.html

There's no vaccination mandate for healthcare personnel in SC because there's been no federal guidance on the matter.
We're at the point we have vaccines just sitting around, and lawmakers want to make supplies open to everyone if the people ahead of them in line won't take it.
