The most under taught SKILL with player development trainings... DECISION MAKING!

250+ days without being in the gym with our team, this has been the biggest gap for our players. A lot of trainers mistake "skill acquisition" (how to), with player development (when, where, why).
Example of Skill Acquisition 👇
A group of players, doing a series of moves, against a cone/spot, before finishing on air.

This is NOT a bad thing. It is a part of the process. It should be a small part though. Basketball is a game of decision making, reading, & reacting.
Want to improve at teaching decision making. Below are some great resources. Please feel free to add to the list.
It is all about making our players (and game) better!

Here is a link to a Google Folder with a few (of our many) decision making drills we use in the off-season. I'd love to see more ideas shared. AAU, Skills Trainers, & HS Coaches should all be in it for the same reason. The development of the players!
