@SenatorCollins,

Lifelong Maine taxpayer here. I do not think your recent disingenuous ire at @BernieSanders is representative of Mainers at all. We want the $2000. Many suffering, out of work. And even before Covid-19, well, put it this way, could you live on a full time job 1/
making $12 per hour? Neither can Mainers. People unable to find or afford childcare are trying to teach their own kids at home. I owe $400 to a plumber that I need to pay as soon as possible so I can have him return and finish the job for another $400. 2/
This, so my sink stops backing up and overflowing with what I can only describe as low tide juice onto my floor. Out of the blue, no warning. I walk out its overflowing.
Anyway, there is my $600 promised before I get the money. If I got $1400 more, I would pay off a couple of 3/
overdue bills so the calls will stop. Catch up on my electricity bill. I'm expecting a disconnect notice anytime. Probably a fridge full of groceries, registering my car, and trying to put away $50 or $100 which will surely have to go toward some emergency in a few days. I'm 4/
lucky though. Some people will eat up that $600 with just their overdraft fees and deficit. They definitely need the 2 grand.

One more thing. Why are you upset at the Dems for fighting for us to get that money? You're upset with them for delaying the vote which wouldn't even 5/
be a thing if Trump hadn't vetoed because of SHEER INSANITY!! *You* said you believed he learned his lesson. So he was guilty,....but. 🤷‍♀️

Do you still believe that he learned anything? He violates the law daily. You got the win. Congrats!!!!!! 6/
Now do your job. Represent Mainers. Support the up or down vote. Get us that survival money. fin
