Hi everyone! As 2020 comes to an end I just wanted to take a min to express our deepest gratitude for all your support this year. This was a challenging & eventful 12 months for us but we managed to make some big strides which would not have been possible without you all. Thread!
This was the year I quit my career to focus on the shop full time. It was equally exciting as it was terrifying and doing so in the midst of a pandemic maybe wasn’t so smart. Somehow despite that gamble the shop slowly managed to take over our home.
Eventually we took a step I never thought would happen and were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to move into our new office space. Truly bananas.
I somehow was able to convince some incredibly talented and wonderful people (that I’ll never be able to adequately express my appreciation for) to join me along the way and build something together. We also got a chance to make stuff with some of our favorite people!
I’m fully aware of how fortunate we’ve been at a time when so many have struggled. I hope that we’re able to pay it forward in full one day but for now I’m incredibly proud to say that we were able to donate over $20k for various charitable organizations we believe in.
I’m very proud of what our small team has been able to accomplish this year but realize that none of it would’ve been possible without y’all. I hope we’ve been more good than bad and thank you all for giving us a chance! 🥲
Happy new year from your friends at Super Yaki, you can find us at Tlaquepaque Market in East End Houston.
