Y’all please please please never confuse EWTN, or me, or a bishop, or the pope, or a talking head for the church. Don’t let anybody make you feel unwelcome in the church. This is YOUR church. You are the church... we would be incomplete without you in all of your complexity.
I understand that many many things happen to make us feel discouraged. This injustice with Gloria Purvis is serious, and sad. But please, for the sake of His sorrowful passion, please do not for one second let it make you doubt that you belong here.
You are loved beyond measure by he who was born, grew up, healed, exorcised, taught, suffered, died, rose, and ascended for you. You are loved by his Mother who prays for you. By the saints who are cheering for you. By this Jesuit who doesn’t even know you. You are loved. Stay.
