2/n moved to other wards. These other wards cover up for the ICUs. Surgeons, Orto-surgeons, dermatologists etc are all treating these IMMENSELY in bad shape patients. Some ICUs are having 1 ICU-nurse run between several patients over 12-14h shifts with 6h rest before next shift
3/n A lot of health care workers have left their jobs, either due to sickness, burnout or self-preservation. Students and other volunteers are more often seen than not at some wards now. All of this as government officials are out shopping or skiing, others are having a blast.
4/n Swedish ICUs are slowly reaching a point where ICUs will say, we can't take any more new patients. We got these young patients in need of ICU-specialized care and hospital is full, so we can't take any more new patients. The risk is real.
5/5 It is true the Swedish ICUs are not at the same level of admitted patients as during the spring. But how much health care personnel do you think is left? Exactly, now you get it, good on ya. Critical level is already surpassed. https://www.tv4.se/artikel/4xwfWQ1BsZAu6mqbYyOk8F/intensivvarden-full-patienter-skrivs-ut-i-foertid
