8 things to consider regarding your wealth for 2021.

1. You are your most valuable asset. Find a way to make yourself more valuable, whether it is by focusing on your health, education, skillset or value to your peers, clients and co-workers.
2. 2020 has been hard on a lot of people. If you are fortunate enough to be in a position to give, consider how to get the biggest gain for your dollars. Determine the best way to make an impact giving and maximize the tax savings of your gift.
3. Create a goal and plan around it. A goal without a plan is just a wish.
4. Consider automating as much of your life (the boring part) as possible. Choose automatic bill pay, reorders of dog food, and even automate your savings. Your time has value and this creates more of it.
5. Look at cost cutting ideas that are fee (i.e. - you don't give up anything). Consider sharing your driving data with your insurer to reduce insurance costs, look at refinancing debt, compare credit card rewards, etc.
6. Well, you made it through 2020 but tomorrow is promised to no one. Consider your own mortality. Is your estate plan up to speed? Should you have a life insurance policy in place to protect your family? Get this done!
7. Work with people you respect and admire. Contribute in a meaningful way.
8. Spend as much time as possible with those you love. Spend your discretionary money - if you are fortunate to have some - on experiences with them. Life is short!
