Everyone has a responsibility to reduce COVID-19 in our communities!

The Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit is very pleased that most people in our community follow the required provincial public health precautions to reduce the spread of this virus. (1/9)
When someone does become infected with COVID-19 then Public Health follows up with all cases and their close contacts, and they isolate from others to prevent further spread of the virus. It is the collective response of all of us that makes a difference. (2/9)

We follow up on situations that are contrary to the provincial Regulation Requirements,...(6/9)
including large indoor social gatherings, and provide education on the requirements and the reason for them. If we observe first hand that an infraction has occurred, and this is not the first instance, people may be ticketed with a fine of $750.00. (7/9)
A lot of misinformation is circulating on the Internet and social media. Ensure you are getting information from reliable sources and do some fact-checking if you hear information that sounds very different from what they are hearing from Public Health Experts. (8/9)
We also urge everyone to review all the COVID-SMART precautions to prevent COVID-19. This is not a time for complacency. Remember to stay home and away from others if you have symptoms of COVID-19, even mild ones, and book an appointment for testing. (9/9)
