Concept: A NA book about recently widowed Welsh lady who took herself out for a solitary picnic when suddenly a naked man starts clawing himself out of the ground. He’s screaming, she’s screaming, people nearby are also screaming, it’s King Arthur and he has no idea what going on
She throws her tesco picnic blanket over him and he waves a sword at her, continuing to scream, slashing her blanket to shreds. There are police, batons are involved, the hospital is involved and eventually he’s released into her care???

I don’t know where Im going with this.
Don’t take this series of tweets seriously bc I have a 4 book backlog but just...

King Arthur wearing her recently deceased husbands clothing. Them communicating in gestures. Him being really stubborn and unexpectedly delighted by technology. They are best friends now 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Arthur insists that they gotta find Merlin. Using drawings he explains that Merlin is a Bi disaster but his BFF. They go rope in a Medieval prof. at a nearby university and together they locate and then dig up Merlin. Now Merlin is living in her house too. He’s rude & 26 yrs old.
They are eating her out of house and home so she makes them get jobs. Arthur becomes a builder and Merlin babysits. 😂😂😂

The entire situation is comedic and domestic! The whole book is about discovering the world and being out of time! Maybe it’s also poly, idk!!!
Merlin, who is half incubus, is super hot! Arthur is a huge fan of romance and loves the hallmark channel! Merlin still has magic but not a whole lot and is devastated by his magic fading away! Arthur struggles to understand the concept of racism! 3 of the Knights weren’t white!
The MC is still in her period of mourning &is struggling to care for them so they start trying to do things to make her life easier. Arthur begins making homemade bread & cheese for their home! Merlin magics counterfeit money which she appreciates but has to immediately destroy😂
I feel like this would have to be literary fiction so the ending can’t be TOO tidy but I think it would be nice to have the grand conclusion of the book be them abandoning their destiny to come to Briton’s aid, and live for themselves and the enrichment of their community??
Just the 3 of them curling inwards to heal from trauma, and then doing their best by others to the highest of their ability? Being human and caring for village children and making/fixing homes and baking for local festivals?

At peace—at last—and in love, until the end...
I’m so emotionally fixated on the idea that Arthur won’t come back until Briton needs him most, but him not coming back to be a Superman character but instead coming back to be the beating heart of a small community, because that’s what he really was all along.
Oh wow you guys actually liked this a lot 😳😳😳
