Not my most active year on Twitter, but it continued to remain the platform that kept on giving through people whose work got me through endless lockdowns, days and weeks that lasted longer than most years.

So here goes a token-of-gratitude [THREAD] 🧵
1. Only one place to start - @robelinda2 and @cric_archivist's gold, which I've obviously got on push notifications everywhere. Their uploads through a long period with no live sport will be one of the things I'll remember 2020 for.
The best way to deal with tornadoes of depressing news cycles is not to avoid it all, but depend on @notytony and @chuck_gopal's Third Slip to sift through the noise and deliver. Two hundred editions of news-with-puns in our times deserves an award. https://thethirdslip.substack.com/
5. Like most of us, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen this year, experimenting and learning to cook new things. @krishashok's YouTube playlist has been a gem in getting beyond the "recipe mindset" and trying out new flavour combinations.
6. Among people who upped their content-creation game this year, @theeconormist is top of my list. Fun, enlightening stuff that deserves a MUCH bigger audience everywhere. Oh-so-good podcast among other glorious thingsđź”˝ https://pca.st/8at2rudz
9. Moving to a new country in the middle of the pandemic has been made infinitely easier thanks to @CoronaEnglish's outstanding work. Danke/Merci beaucoup, Marco!
A lot of this great stuff lives true to the internet's free-for-all spirit, but someone needs to pay for them. So head over to any of those links and support their work! If nothing else, can you imagine getting through this craziness without all the internet's goodness?

FIN.
