As a result, the Resistance has decided he must be eliminated. Surveillance has shown that, when going to the train station at the end of the day, he walks via the 'van der Werf park' (2), a good place for an assault.

However, time he walks via the Rapenburg canal (3).
Surprised, the 2 member of the Resistance decide to follow him. Almost at the end of the Rapenburg, they shoot him (4).

At 18:45 the Police is warned that somebody has been shot and send 2 officers to investigate.

Although seriously injured, Diederix will survive.

The consequences of this assassination attempt will be discussed in a later thread.
