New thought: imagine if cars (and car infrastructure) were helicopters. Yes, it is easier to get around in a helicopter, but where will I leave it once you get to the store? So maybe I'll find another way to get that gallon of milk. Maybe someone can drop me off.
What if The Government required every new house to have at least one helipad? And every store had to have dozens of helipads. Yeah, they'd be noisy, but they could be quiet inside. And maybe electric..
Besides, people would get used to the noise. They'd live farther away because they could helicopter home a quieter neighborhood.
