This is a bad take. Amazon is not a wrecking ball. The wrecking ball for most retailers is their own complacency, incompetence, and lack of foresight. They failed without any help from Amazon.
Go look around Macy’s and tell me that the absence of range planning, lack of product innovation, and the inability to get even the most basic merchandising right is the fault of Amazon. It’s not. Macy’s is not being murdered by Amazon, it is voluntarily committing suicide.
