Jumping from Institutional Equity Sales into Private Wealth.

I started my career in Investment Banking
It wasn’t meant to be and I burnt out in 2 yrs.
I got lucky & the Equity Sales desk had an open seat.

I loved being an Institutional Equity Sales guy.
A front row seat to Wall St.

Capital markets
Research analyst
Institutional clients
Management teams

I went from Analyst to VP in a span of 6 years.

Very few places give a 23 year old access to the best action.
My 2nd son was born and I was realizing the “grind” of institutional equity sales might have a finite life.

$. Compensation wasn’t tied 100% to output.

Location. The Finance epicenter is NYC and I was in Chicago.

Regulation. MiFid II changed the interatctions.
I left the desk on Apri 1, 2019.

1 client asked if it was an April fools joke.

There was a team of 2 wealth managers in Milwaukee who were looking for a young person to join them.

It wasn't a joke.
The trends for a young Wealth Manager look great.

According to Deloitte

- Advisor pop is aging as 43% of US Financial Advisors over the age of 55
- From 2007-2061, $58.1 trillion is expected to move from one adult population to another
The private wealth career is an adventure.

I feel more in control of my career destiny.

Clients are friends and come from all walks of life.

There isn’t a ceiling in terms of growth or clients.
