idk I've already said my peace on this but saying movies shouldn't have sex or sex scenes is not the woke feminist take you think it is, its the opposite actually, sex should be a normal thing to show in movies (meant for adult audiences obvi)
being prude and respecting woman are not the same thing
gonna say this last thing then let it be, sex can be done badly in movies and often is, which is a symptom of Hollywood having a narrow view on sex/sexuality, and that's a conversation worth having, but if you find yourself frustrated at this, watch better movies made by gay ppl
everything should have its proper labels so ppl know what they are getting into but the sex scenes aren't the bad thing you find frustrating, its actually just bad story telling you are frustrated at
uggg ok I have one last thing to say, the thing is, its not just about "what if we added 5 minutes of soft core porn", it can serve so many other purposes in a story (think midsommer). if its done well, you wont even come out of the movie thinking there was a sex scene™
