People tend to enter every New Year with excitement and motivation.
Unfortunately, by February, over 80% of people have already quit their resolutions.

Here is how I create New Years Resolutions and hold myself accountable through the year:

1.) Start with your Yearly Goals
Spend time thinking about the type of person you want to become this year.
Do you want to be smarter? Stronger? Richer?
Write down your goals, then write a MEASURABLE figure that you want to hit.

1a.) The most important step is to make your goals measurable. Without this you can't properly tell HOW MUCH you have grown.
Want to be stronger? Finally hit that three plate bench.
Want to be smarter? Read 50 books this year.
Want to be richer? Earn six-figures.

2.) Next you need to break your yearly goals down into monthly increments so you can measure your progress.
With my monthly goals I create calendars that allow me to track the habits that will help me achieve my goals, along with habits I want to set just because.

2a.) The habit tracker is an important part of this process as it feeds you dopamine while you build a streak.
It takes around three weeks to develop a habit and about TWO MONTHS for the habit to become automatic.

2b.) These calendars allow you to feed yourself some dopamine during the crucial period when you are developing your habit.
Building your streak allows you to develop your habit.

3.) I do this assessment chart at the end of every month (or sooner if I need to).
With this I can analyze my success and failures.
Based on this I can predict what problems I may run into the next month.
This means I can have solutions lined up BEFORE IT EVEN HAPPENS.

3a.) This is CRUCIAL to prevent burnout.

3b.) This is what allows you to continue building your streak until your habits become automatic.

Well that may make you quit UNLESS you solve the problem by adding an extra 30 minutes of cardio to your exercise routine.
