We don't talk enough about Missy Elliott being a super producer. Sadly the only way women can really work as producers is if they produce their own work but Missy was writing & producing hits for other artists across genres & redefining hip hop & R&B with Pharrell & Timberland.
Look at the production credits of women like Madonna, Janet, Mariah & Beyonce, women in music don't get the same amount of recognition & praise men get for their production abilities.
It's like people can't acknowledge they're the geniuses behind the work.

Hopefully moving forward we see more women given the opportunities to work with other artists and being appreciated for their geniuses. How much wasted potential have we lost because some of the greatest songwriters and producers in the world aren't born men.
Alright since we're all here and we agree, you should follow me I swear I'm a funny bitch.
