When eating Carnivore mindset is key. The most challenging part of this journey will be changing your relationship with food.

If you don't have a WHY, you'll quit because your cravings or social pressure will win.

Define a strong reason to live differently.
Here are some common reasons how people thrive on Carnivore

Weight loss(100+ abs), increased testosterone, improved sleep, autoimmune improvements, fertility, complexion, the list goes on.

- Seed oils
- Processed sugar
- Leaves & stems
- Nuts & seeds
- Grains
- Legumes
- Alcohol
- Coffee, Teas (yes, it’s a bean)
What to drink on Carnivore?

Water is your friend. Drink abundantly

Spring water and Sparkling water have high natural mineral content.

@MtnValleyWater @GerolsteinerUSA @SanPelligrino2 - @WholeFoods

Bone broth @kettleandfire if you tolerate spices. If not, make your own
Avoid flavored water on Carnivore, “natural flavors” can negatively affect people.

Invest in quality water.
How to avoid “keto flu” on Carnivore? Electrolytes.

Most people are severely depleted of electrolytes and settle for lethargy. Let’s aim for abundant energy
Good ol’ fashioned salt (Sodium) is your ally on Carnivore.

@redmondrealsalt is the best (whole foods)

Up to 10g per day has been found helpful, especially with lower energy levels.

If you're feeling low energy, start with 5g and up from there (add to water)
Magnesium and Potassium can be tricky to supplement.

To start, use a good all in one supplement is @drinkLMNT unflavored is a solid option.

Ensure to avoid stevia or other sweeteners or fillers
When to eat on Carnivore?

Eat two meals a day, or whenever you're hungry.

Hunger is directly linked to satiety, eat nutrient dense meats and organs for satiation.

Caveat, you may feel very hungry when you first start carnivore. Your body is craving nutrients, EAT
Fasting on Carnivore

It will help with digestion, lose weight, and get better sleep.

Pick an 8 hour feeding window.

I prefer eating upon waking, so 8am - 5pm.

This is called eTRF (early time restricted fasting)

Increase the time between digestion and sleep.
Aim for 1gram of protein per pound of body weight (or desired weight) on Carnivore

I’m 175lbs, so 175 grams of protein per day.

There is about 100g of protein in one pound of meat, my target is just under 2lbs of meat.
Aim for 2:1 fat to protein (in grams) intake on Carnivore.

This may seem like a lot of fat, remember you’re not eating carbs.

Your body needs calories, especially if you’re highly active.
Good Fats:
- Tallow @EPICbar
- Grass fed Ghee @fourthandheart
- Grass fed butter @KerrygoldUSA
- Lard (pasture raised pigs) @EPICbar
- Duck Fat @EPICbar

Avoid plant oils
Collagen. Improves skin, joints, hair, and has all of the amino acids you need to help build and repair muscle.

One serving per pound of meat. @vitalproteins
How to cook your meat on Carnivore

Steak - More raw is more nutritious. Seared rare is my fav
Ground beef - well done
Fish - med rare/well done
