Forgive the self-indulgence but I'm stuck on a train to Edinburgh with little to do, so I've decided to make a short thread of my favourite things I've worked on this year. Hopefully someone can get a kick out of them!

My first big interview with a Thistle great. Spoke to Archie about the highs and lows of his time in charge, where it all went wrong and why he returned to Firhill.

The summer was a momentous one for Scottish football. But away from the courtroom, there was a hugely significant development outside the SPFL pyramid, as Grace McGibbon kindly explained to me.

Another Thistle one and one that I'll always remember. Doolan is one of my all-time favourite players, and getting to talk his ear off about the Jags was a lot of fun.

Arbroath's rapid rise in recent years has been remarkable, and it was a real pleasure to speak to the man who masterminded it all: the one and only Dick Campbell.

Absolutely loved speaking to Gary Harkins after he decided to hang up his boots in the summer. Another great character of Scottish football and, more importantly, a brilliant player.

Next up, Micky Mellon's unveiling. I'll admit, I was impressed with him right away. An old-fashioned, hard-working coach who talks a very good game.

Another Thistle one! I interviewed about half a dozen people - players, coaches, fans - to talk about the Morton game in 2013 that effectively sealed the title.

Alloa's very own Captain Fantastic Andy Graham spent the best part of a year out after contracting a rare spinal infection. He feared he might never play again.
This is his story.

Back in October, there were whispers that the bottom-placed side in League Two this season would be spared a play-off to fight for their place in the SPFL pyramid. The proposal was utter, utter bullshit.

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Ryan Gauld. Over the last year or two he seems to have really come into his own as a player, so much so that he's now regularly tearing it up in the Portuguese top flight.

St Mirren have a proud history of producing their own players - particularly midfielders, for some reason - and it looks to me like Ethan Erhahon might be the next one off the production line. Goodwin really likes him, too.

And lastly, a cause close to my own heart. I've always liked the idea of fan ownership, and speaking to the WG about how it will all work at Firhill was really rewarding. Excited for what the future holds.
