Thanks to this diary I was able to make the song called 5tar

시간이라는 게 참 빨리로 흘러간다
그래서 더 놓치고 가는 순간이 많다
한 순간 한 순간 더 최선을 라 하자.

소소한 행복을 느끼며 살아가자.

Translation:
Time, is something, that flow/pass by quite fast.
That's why, the moments that you keep missing/losing and are going by, are many.
Let's (even more than before) do our outmost moment by moment.

Let's live while (enjoying) the trivial/small happinesses (in life)

연습생 때부터 데뷔 초까지 일기를 썼던 기억이 났다. 대뷔 3년이 지난 오늘 갑자기 일기가 쓰고 싶어졌다.

오늘은 크리스마스다.

케이크부터 트리까지 만들며 즐거운 시간을 보냈다. 문득 크리스마스 트리를 바라보는데 멤버들 하나 하나가 눈에 아른 거렸다.

기특하고 고맙고 그러네... 데뷔 초 일기를 보는데 참 많은 걸 잊고 살고 무뎌진 걸 느낀다. 무뎌진이 가장 무서운 걸 알기에 오늘이 감사하다
소소한 행보이 가장 큰 행복이란 걸 그렇기에 오늘 많은 팬들과 함께한 시간이 근사하단 걸... 감사하고 행복하다.

시간이 가는게 두렵지 않다
앞으로의 시간이 이 사람들로 인해 따뜻할 거 같다.

Translation:
The memories of writing my diary, from being a trainee until the beginning of my debut days, surfaced. 3 years after my debut today, I suddenly wanted to write in my diary.

Today is Christmas.

From making cakes to decorating, I had a good time while doing (these things). All of a sudden, (as I was) gazing at the Christmas tree, one by one the members, caught my eye*

I'm proud and thankful...

(* = the term he used is so precious and cute yall I need to explain this!! ㅠㅠ it can mean "caught my eye", "keep an eye on", "shimmer in my eyes" and "apple of my eyes". As in something precious that gets stuck in your eyes and kept there as you adore it,at least in this case)

As I look in my diary from the beginning of my debut days, there has been quite a lot of things I've forgotten, things I've lived (through) and things I've felt numb about.

Being numb, is the thing that's the most scary, as I got to know that (in the past), I am thankful today..

Small happinesses, are the things that are the biggest form of happiness, therefore like this, today, spending time together with fans is a wonderful thing...

I'm thankful and happy.

I'm not afraid of the passing of time.
I think that due to these people, the time ahead will be warm.

COMMENTARY:
- for now I dont have a lot...
I just want yall to read it for yourselves and take it in however you want while considering that the first one is debut Donghun, a Donghun who we've heard countless times (thankcon, homecert...etc) talk about struggling a lot---

---and that very debut Donghun's struggling feelings created 5tar. A song that has similar themes to the first page of the diary. (Go listen to 5tar!!!!)

Themes:
- possible regret of passing of time
- trying to will himself into happiness in the future

While the second diary page is a more grown up DH who more than 3yrs ago have tackled his feelings and realized new things.
Just try to read them a couple times back and forth and you will realize the mental progress and growth Donghun is showing.

Themes:
- Showcasing his success in willfully feeling happy in the moments (cake, deco...etc)
- tackling his struggle about time passing(regrets) & numbness
- a continuous effort to will himslf into thankfulness & happiness in the future too as he keeps repeating it thru the page

I just find it precious alright
Dont mind me while I sit here and continue rereading these diary pages of Donghuns randomly written, but not so random, fleeting thoughts.
