Most everyone can remember the first time they heard about bitcoin. Some people understood it right away and knew how valuable it would become, while others like myself have let five bitcoin get lost and are now never to be found again.
story.Most everyone can remember the first time they heard about bitcoin. Some people understood it right away and knew how valuable it would become, while others like myself have let five bitcoin get lost and are now never to be found again.
You see my wife and I started the first recreational cannabis club in the United States in February 2013. At that time bitcoin was starting to get some traction and when I was first introduced I believe it was trading for around five dollars per coin.
A member of our cannabis club set me down and said we should start excepting bitcoin as payment, And proceeded to try and explain it to me, but now years later I realize he didn’t necessarily know exactly what he was talking about and because of that I chose not to proceed.
Even though I told him I was hesitant, he still set me up a wallet, somewhere, and sent me five bitcoin. If I remember correctly he sent it to me via email, but I just totally don’t remember.
Fast forward to 2017 when bitcoin was having its big run up, the last bull market,

And that’s when I decided to get in making my first bitcoin purchase when it was just over $6000 per coin. Every now and then when I remember one of my old email addresses, I go and take a look back to see if I can find the email where he set up my wallet.
