In a similar vein (and also correct). I also find it curious about the way Parliamentary sovereignty proclaimed by Brexiteers has reverted to the 1950s notion of "Whitehall knows best" with secrecy off the scale. https://twitter.com/AntonSpisak/status/1344219735458795523
Though unlike many I don't have a conspiracy as to why Brexiteers have chosen to replace what they saw as unelected Brussels bureaucrats with unelected UK ones. I think it is mostly the legacy of Theresa May as PM, who believed secrecy was essential for government.
