how to temporarily look skinnier in a day, to be used for events like parties/dates/weddings etc! - a thread
disclaimer: this is just temporary! none of these will help with weight loss, they’re just extra steps if you want to look that bit skinnier for an event. i’m also not a professional or genius in this stuff but i thought i’d share the tips i use.
if you want to fast the day before that’s your choice however i dont encourage it or endorse it. assuming you have an event on tomorrow you don’t want to ruin it by having no energy for it. please don’t let you ed ruin a great day!
1. avoid dairy

2. eat fruits
fruits have a high water and fibre content that will keep you full for longer. plus, the fibre will help clear out your digestive system, they’re a natural laxative, and low calorie! :)

caffeine without milk or sugar acts as a diuretic as it allows your body to flush out the excess water in your body

4. drink lots of water - then stop
chug chug chug water until about 12-24 hours before the event. the longer you have before the event the more effective this will be. bc ur body is used to excess water it’ll pee so much even after you stop - models call this ‘drying out’

6. do some light cardio - sweat a little!
simply pumping your blood and body fluids around (through cardio) will help reduce your chances of having an unwanted accumulation of fluids in the subcutaneous space between your muscles and skin, thereby making you look sharper

7. cut down on carbs
reduce your carb intake 48 hours before event to make you look and feel as lean as possible, large amounts of carbs raises your blood sugar which triggers an insulin release that makes you store calories as fat. this will temporarily improve your definition

8. wear black
obviously i don’t know what event you’re going to so black might not be suitable but, if possible, wear black. it makes you look slimmer. it hides folds and creases better and blends your figure better. or something idk im not a scientist.

9. wear heels!
again, if possible, making yourself look taller than you are is the equivalent of getting a new, smaller bmi - the same weight but a few inches taller will look slimmer.

10. get a tan/contour
again, idk your situation, but the more tan you are is the equivalent of wearing black - you’ll look slimmer. i know some ppl don’t tan but if you do this is an option.

lastly, do NOT use laxatives!! their only purpose is to flush out gunk in your intestine. it is NOT helpful at all for weightloss. not even for a temporary fix. you will bloat. SO MUCH. please please, it’s so dangerous and counterproductive. don’t do it. you will bloat.
