yknow when i realised the 12th house ruled foreign lands and the 9th house ruled the travelling TO foreign lands, that 12th house - 9th house square rly made so much more sense to me
it reminds me of people travelling abroad to do grim shit; there's the anonyminity of the 12h and being in a different country. let's have a conversation about how the 9h speaks on colonialism and the 12h speaks on the colonised
the way that institutionalised religion (9h) - i'm speaking specifically on christianity here tbh - is used as justification for going to foreign lands (12h) to commit hidden (12h) atrocities
let's also talk about how the sun finds his joy in the 9h. the western solar calendar and its explicit connections to christianity is inseparable. then let's talk about how saturn, arguably the ruler of both the oppressor and the oppressed, finds his joy in the 12h.
i have a 9h sun and a 12h moon so i feel like if anyone can speak on this it's me lmfaooo; this square is not BAD; these houses are not necessarily BAD (well, 12h, we'll talk about it later lmfao); but it's a really interesting discussion to have.
so let's open the doors to it. foreign travel, religion, philosophy, institutions of higher education (all h9) have all been and continue to be mechanisms of oppression. h9 squares h12, the house of the hidden, of foreign lands, of undoing and 'bad spirit'.
