A progressive economic elite is the most dangerous thing for a country. They will attempt to enforce an un-negotiated absolutist vision - stripping a society of stabilising mechanism in search for those woke feelz.
A conservative elite - to put the breaks on radical change - acting as buffers - and subservient population - under the thumb of this elite make for successful societies. America has a conservative elite (not Upper-Middle Class
wokes). China has a conservative elite, France's
wokes). China has a conservative elite, France's
post-revolutionary elite was conservative etc. Progressives have never led truly successful societies - their job is to move along societal discourse - introduce uncomfortable questions - not to lead a society.
I fear modern education - I fear the educations Indian elites receive in their formative years. They have learned to value virtue much over stability and continuity. We have a ticking time bomb on our hands - wait 20 years till IB and A-Level educated people replace their parents
They at some fundamental level, believe that their own power is illegitimate - and hence must be used to do virtuous things. Not what is needed or would benefit the largest number of people - but rather from a myopic deontological view of the world.
