[1/9] Since many of our fans seem to undermine the work Ole has done till now, I would like to take you all back to May 2019 when @GNev2 made an assessment of where we were as a club for @SkySportsPL. Have clipped into 5 vids to highlight the parts that @GNev2 addressed then👇
[2/9] This was an overall assessment of the 2018/19 squad and the fact that they weren't likeable as a group of players. To me, this has been a welcome change now and one that can't be quantified through stats/table.
[3/9] Here, he talks about any title challenge in the near future being premature and also about 'Cleansing the dressing room & club'. Suggested a change in structure of how the club is run (Talks about a 5 yr project). There is also a word on Maguire (Who was at LEI then).
[4/9] This was his take on the managerial appointments made under Ed Woodward and why he would never advocate for a manager to be sacked or criticize mgr appointments. Talks about Ed's failure to do his job properly over the last 7 yrs.
[5/9] On being asked whether Ole is the best in class appointment to be managing United at the time. Also touches upon how Jose was undermined by the board when it came to signing players.
[6/9] His take on what he hoped to see from United over the next few yrs. Key words - Direction & Strategy ! Talks about the coaching group who would have only the best interests of the club at heart ! Ends it with how we were a complete shambles!
[7/9] Just wanted to share these as it is an indicator of where we were not too long ago. I completely agreed with all the points made by @GNev2 at the time. Some problems still remain but the clips serve as a good base to judge any progress we have made over the time.
[8/9] We are still a work in progress and its a credit to Ole and the current group that they have made us love watching this team(Likeability). I wouldn't be lying if I told you that I look forward to our games with so much more hope & excitement than I did over the last 7 yrs.
[9/9] Fans can draw their own conclusions on the progress by comparing it with the current state of affairs on/off the pitch. No guarantees in football, but with patience & support from the fans and backing from the board, hopefully, its exciting times heading into the new year🤞
